SMTP servers hold a significant role in enhancing your marketing channels. Whether you run an e-commerce business or a general business platform, combining it with an SMTP server will increase your profit. Seems troubling right? Let us explain to you the benefits of working with an SMTP provider.
How Does SMTP Help In Email Marketing?
Emailing your potential customers is the best way to let them know about your business and product. But manually managing those emails are difficult. And for an e-commerce website, you have to send different types of emails, including adding cart emails, money receipt emails, order confirmation emails, and order delivery emails. Apart from that, spreading brand awareness and new offers are the most crucial things for a business.
Now, think about that entire process manually. Is it possible? And if yes, can you maintain the timing properly?
An SMTP server does that for you. Here, you can send emails on time and keep track till the end. One can track how many people opened the email and unsubscribed, along with the conversion rate. You will get to know everything with a quality SMTP server.
Also, if the email does not deliver, the SMTP server ensures that the mail is returned to the sender. The SMTP service does not end here. SMTP will retain the information where you will know whether the recipient’s address is wrong or the recipient’s server has blocked the sender’s ID. So, you get an idea of why you must use an SMTP server.
How Does SMTP Server Work?
The email exchange process using an SMTP server is very different from others. We will explain the process shortly.
1. You will send an email through port 25 to your client email’s SMTP server, using your email server, where the webmail is known as the Message User Agent (MUA).
2. The email goes through port 25 to the client’s mail SMTP server, which acts as a Mail Transfer Agent (MTA).
3. The server and client start a discussion, where the server checks the transmission of the message.
4. Then the mail server verifies the sender and put the new email in the recipient’s folder where the message’s transmission is only discussed.
5. Then the email is sent to the domain of the recipient account, connected to the server. If the connection is not built, the server establishes a relationship with a server close to another backup server.
6. The SMTP server host forwards the message to a backup server even for a busy server.
In case of unavailability, the email is put on hold and tried again after a while. If still, the message goes undelivered, the server will mark it as undelivered.
Now you know the benefits of using an SMTP server. Irrespective of the level of the business, every business owner should use an SMTP server for email marketing. Also, embedding an SMTP server is easy, and your email campaign will get zero problems. Therefore, if you want to scale high with your business, use an SMTP server to create email campaigns.
